Forms

The Forms page lists all form types for the project selected.

Access to the Forms page is dependent on your user permissions. For more information on user permissions, refer to User Roles.

Form Types

Form types are created from FormBuilder which are then published to projects.

There are currently two versions of FormBuilder:

To toggle version 1 form types available for a project, refer to Project Configuration.

To toggle version 2 form types available for a project, refer to Form Schema Designer.

The form types list will list form types created from both versions of FormBuilder.

The number of forms created against each form type is displayed next to them and colour coded to represent their status:

  • Red = overdue
  • Orange = active/created/part signed
  • Green = completed

Tap on any of the individual counts to view a list of forms associated with the filter selected and status or tap on a form type to view a list of all forms associated with the selected form type.

Filter

The counts next to each form type is filtered depending on how you navigated to the page.

If you navigated to the page from the Home page, the counts are automatically filtered to Me.

If you navigated to the page from the menu, the counts are filtered depending on which tab was selected on the menu:

  • Me - the counts will represent your forms and/or forms and assigned to you
  • My Company - the counts will represent all forms created and/or forms assigned to users within the same user company as you
  • Allthe counts will represent all forms created on the project

If you wish to change how forms are filtered, tap on the funnel icon and select a filter. On selection, the counts will be updated on the page.

Location Permissions

If location permissions are enabled, this will allow Onsite to add your geolocation to the form.

Once the new form is saved, this will then add a marker to the map in BIMXtra displaying the location of where the form was created.

You can toggle this anytime from your device settings. If you can't find app permissions for Onsite, there is a shortcut on the Settings page.

Uploading Multiple Photos

Selecting multiple photos on version 2 forms is supported in Onsite.

To select multiple photos on the Android app, hold down on a photo until a blue tick appears then select multiple photos.

For more information on forms, refer to BIMXtra - Construction.

Photos uploaded to version 2 forms that exceeds 500KB will automatically be compressed. During compression, EXIF data, such as geolocation information, is removed from the compressed photo. This means that if you save a photo after it has been uploaded to a version 2 form, the photo will no longer have geolocation information.

Attaching large numbers of files to version 2 forms can take a bit of time depending on your device's connection speed.
